Can you hear the drum beat, loyal ICM goers? A week from tomorrow, it’s time for Indie Cage Match UCB East to kick off the new year, indie cage match comedy style. In UCB East Indie Cage Match’s extraordinary eighth show, two all-guy teams face off against returning funny-people #Klepper. So come on out for our first show of 2012! Sunday, January 8th, 7:30 PM at UCB East, the Beast.
Our Distinguished Weekly Panel (and some fun facts about them)
This week our distinguished comedy vet is Christian Capozzoli
Christian Capozzoli can currently be seen at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre with the Harold Team, Still Mike. He has appeared in numerous ensembles performing a variety of forms including The Evente, The Deconstruction and The Armando Diaz Experience. He has guested with Second City Toronto main stage, been recognized as one of the top improvisers in North America, and his show 4TRACK has been hailed by critics. He also is a member of Story Pirates, performs sketch and stand up comedy and has studied at both Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Magnet Theater.
Our hilarious indie darling this week is Melissa Gomez (see following post, JZT is out of town).
JZT, as he is often referred to, can be found everywhere around the UCB Theater. Since his list of credits is simply too long to list, let’s just say check out JZT with his great improv team Swoon or his hilarious old-school rap group, the Cool Guys.

This giant team from UCB’s Advanced Study Program is mini a who’s who of established and up-and-coming players at UCB. Welcome them back as our swing team after a valiant and hilarious effort against the powerhouse North Coast!

Our first all male team of the week is the hilarious Johnny Cash Money.

The U.S. National Improv team is an all male team with a weekly show at eGarage in Long Island City. Their members are a well known group of performers from around the UCB Community. Come out and see them be hilarious.
The USNIT doesn’t really like to talk about themselves.

Our hosts, Amey and Ryan, will be there, talking, introducing people, and saying things.
ICM NYC assistants Justin Byrne and Evan Boshi will be there, as usual, for all the actually important stuff.
