Our Distinguished Weekly Panel (and some fun facts about them)

This week our distinguished comedy vet is the hilarious John Murray

John is also member of the UCB Touring Company that performs improv in different venues across the country. He is a former member of the UCB Harold Team, Bastian, which as of November 2009 became the longest running Harold Team in UCB history. He is also a member of The UCB Maude Team Stone Cold Fox. John happily lives in Brooklyn with his wife and is pumped to be performing at the UCB.

Our hilarious indie darling this week is the ultra-funny Dom Manzolillo

Dom has been around the theater long enough to be on the legendary indie teams Iron Ruckus and Dreadnought. Dom is very very funny.

Our incredible indie teams (and some fun facts about them)

New England

Not to be confused with the place, New England is an indie group, made up of a bunch of hilarious people. Expect big characters.

What does New England have to say for themselves?

“John Milhiser came up with our name. Who wants to go sledding?”

New England is Ken Beck, Amos Vernon, Patrick Long, Molly Gaebe, Andrew Law, and Henry Kaiser.

North Coast

North Coast is a crazy, fast, hilarious freestyle rap improv group. They’re really good at rhyming things.

What they say about themselves:

“Now that the east coast - west coast beef has subsided, North Coast! is stepping up to throw down. Watch as New York’s premier freestyle rapping, beatboxing, long-form improv team performs a fully improvised “hip-hopera” right in front of yo mouf. You bring your favorite rap lyric and North Coast! will make your gut bust and your head bop. And if you don’t know, now you know.”

North Coast is Oscar Montoya, Julia Morales, Doug Widick, Rachel Rosenthal, Shaun Fisher, Boris Khaykin, James Robilotta, Jonathan DeMuth

STEAK

STEAK, last week’s returning champion, is a meaty foursome of improvisors. One of them has a fish for a last name. One of them has a Mario® character for a last name. One of them has a famous last name. And one of them is definitely still correctly named Joe.

STEAK asks:

“How do you like your improv?”

STEAK is Lisa Barracuda, Evan Boshi, Jon Monje, and Dave Ebert

As always our hosts Amey and Ryan will be on hand…hosting.

Official Indie Cage Match NYC assistant Justin Byrne, and delightful guest assistant Lorin Taylor will be on hand, once again, for the fetching of water, making of photographs, and taking of notes.

Don’t forget to make reservations!
